Goals and more goals…what could I possibly be talking about? 😕 Let me explain what I mean.
It’s good to set goals. For example, how many words are you going to write daily? I’ve set my sights on writing 1,000 words a day. How many pages do you want your book to be? I want mine to be 300 pages.
Okay, do a little math now. 1,000 times 300 equals 300,000 words give or take a little. That’s a lot! But, for me it’s a reasonable goal.
I want you (yes, you) to set your own reasonable goals. If you need a break, take a break. If you need to go back and fix something, go ahead.
Set as many goals as you like, but not so many you can’t complete them all. But, set at least two. Something as simple as:
- How many words do I want to write daily?
- How many pages do I want to write in total?
You’re probably wondering why I’m helping you, why I’m helping the “competition”. First of all, you’re not competition. I don’t consider any one competition. We’re all trying to sell our books and people are never going to stop reading. Yes, there is friendly competition, but that doesn’t mean we can’t help one another, right? 😉 So what am I doing?
What I’m trying to do is help you write, publish, and sell your book. 🙂 I hope my tips help you.
